JM and our DS14 went to a men's retreat this weekend, called Wildfire Weekend. There were a lot of speakers (including Willie and Jase Richardson from Duck Dynasty and Tim Tebow, among others) It's the first time he's ever been to anything like that and was a wonderful time for him and DS to bond and grow together.

There were several sessions that he really enjoyed, and a lot of encouragement to the men to be the husband and father they are called to be. So anyway, he called me today and told me he was getting me something really special.

And here it is:

He bought us matching rings. The inscription is Hebrew "I am my beloved's and my beloved is mine" which is one of my favorite scriptures. Mine fits perfectly and matches my diamond nicely.

I love this man.

awww!! And good on him for setting the example for his DS!

The band and inscription are both beautiful.

Thanks, y'all.

PPGA, I would NEVER have predicted this outcome on that day in May last year when you and I met. I thought my life was over that day...turned out to be the beginning of the best part.

That's just beautiful!

Imagine a ship trying to set sail while towing an anchor. Cutting free is not a gift to the anchor. You must release that burden, not because the anchor is worthy, but because the ship is.
