I'm not sure who comes up with the dates for these but they seem to get earlier every year. In ten years they may have them in April at the rate they are going.

I wish I could see them from here. They are spectacular.

Went once...

Sat on the Windsor side...

Roasted my brains out before the fireworks....

Couldn't hear the music (makes it less spectacular)....

Battled several hours of traffic to get home... thank goodness I wasn't driving.

When I was 18 my friend and I and two girls had the brilliant idea to go to the Windsor side to watch the fireworks. Got there about 8PM, got a great parking spot with a great view. It took us over 3 hours to make it back through the tunnel. We didn't get home until after 2AM, and I was supposed to be at my grandparents house at 7AM to take them up north for the weekend

Due to budget cuts, the Detroit show has been scaled back a bit ...
