The best news possible today, DS is leaving Afghanistan tomorrow to return to the states! Can't begin to express how happy I am!! He will be coming home for a visit in August. He still knows nothing about the divorce nor the fact that POS is currently several states away. He will get the whole story when I see him in person and can explain. It will be a relief when everything is out in the open, and POS better be prepared for all Hell to break loose! DS's closing line to his message was, "I freakin love you mom!!" Melt my heart! He has always been momma's boy, and is not going to be happy with his sperm donor in the slightest. Some of those "consequences" are about to hit!!

On another note, I was traveling for business last week in the state where my dad lives and was able to work in a side visit with him. Told him for the first time about the divorce and why. He was very supportive and extended any help I needed. He emphasized that no matter what happens I have a dad and brother that will be there for me (the only immediate family I have left). That unwavering support was priceless especially since my dad and I have never been very close.

So yesterday I leave my dad's after receiving his unwavering support and I hear about my DS this morning. A great weekend, until I get a voicemail message from POS telling me not to forget to pack x, y, and z in the trailer with his stuff (things I have already packed) and telling me he hopes things are going well for me, blah, blah, blah like we are now the best of friends. WTF! Two weeks ago you go off on me and say all kinds of nasty things and now you wish me well? Sorry dickhead. You destroyed my marriage and family so we will never be BFFs!! But I will play the civilized game until the papers are signed, however my response to the above is crickets. Two-faced prick!!
