ETA: No, I'm afraid I need to keep some minor degree of anonymity on SI. But it involves moving back overseas, which I'm excited about.

Thanks for all the congrats.

I accepted the position and gave notice at work today. I normally wouldn't have given them five weeks notice, but my dept of 5 is already short one, and one other gave notice this morning, so I wanted to be courteous to the level of transition they are facing. I also recommended two good legal staffing agencies in town and that they consider bringing someone in as temp-to-hire before I leave.

It went fairly smooth. My supervisor is definitely going to have an upset weekend though. She looked like she was having a 'come to Jesus' moment while I was giving notice (half an hour after my colleague had done the same).
