Finally fWS got her cast off this morning. There aren't any marathons in her near future but she will be able to start bearing weight today. Aiming for full weight bearing July 25 which coincides with the first day of her new job.

When this is all done I may burn her shower chair and walker. Especially since dog#3 hates the walker and keeps peeing on it!

Her: FWS 53 (both family med MDs; together 23 years)
OW: who cares (PhD)
Dday: 10/11: 11/11 TT for months; NC 8/12

Woo Hoo!! Just saw this... I'm so glad!

(I'm really sorry that I find it hilarious that dog#3 has taken to hating a walker... super funny. Sorry. )

I feel for her! How long did she have it on, PJ? I know when my daughter broke both her fibula and her tibia last year, by the time the cast came off, she was a bear--so sick of limping and rolling around!

She had the cast for five weeks. She was using a scooter and we might end up having to buy it due to excessive chewing on it (dogs not fWS).

Now she is on crutches working up to full weight bearing. dog #3 hates the crutches also and tries to rip them out from under her. Had to resort to spraying him in the face with water.

This weekend we are finally getting away to the mountains for our first vacation sinvpve ajanuary.
