I'm having lobster tonight and I have enough that I can gorge myself!

And I'm off to make some lemon-garlic butter for dipping. My mouth is already watering.

I ordered all new appliances for my kitchen reno today, so I figured if I already spent that much, what's another hundred?!

Did I mention that I love lobster?

I have three sitting in my freezer... flash frozen and shipped from Maine.

I need to eat them soon. I might even share them my family... might.

How do you make lemon-garlic dipping butter?

Hi Lynn,

Would you share your recipe for the lemon-garlic butter?

We spend a lot of time on Cape Cod (except for July and Aug. to busy) so we rent our place out. We like it when the crowds thin out in spring and fall so we make frequent trips and always bring

home fresh caught lobster for H. I don't like it but he loves it.

Popular thing on the Cape is Lobster Mac/cheese.Just starting to show up on the menus in our hometown. Have you tried that yet? H loves it.

Sometimes it lasts in love but sometimes it hurts instead....Adele

I wanna cry! Very jealous. Tonight's menu was grilled cod with a lemon zest butter base and then covered in a parmesan/parsley/chive cheese, slightly browned with fresh peas, sweet corn and brown rice! Hell I thought I did good till I read your post!

Now THAT was a lobster feast. I ate TWO 1.75 pounders and a quarter pound of butter.

I just throw 1/2 pound of butter in a lipped pot (makes pouring easy) and melt it, then peel and squash a clove of garlic and add it, then squeeze 1/2 a lemon into the mix. When we're ready to eat, I light up the butter warmers and fill up the little bowls. Dip, dip, dip. Yum! It's so bad, but it's so good.

Here's the table ready for the crustaceans:

5454real, your dinner sounds like my second favourite meal.

When I bought the lobbies, I also got a tub of lump crab, so tonight's dinner is a pink grapefruit, avocado and crab salad, with a grapefruit juice dressing.

I'll set a place for you.

You put the crab in the centre, drizzle with dressing & gobble.

Dressing

1 tbsp. lemon juice

1 tbsp. lime juice

2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

1/8 tsp. nutmeg

½ tsp. sugar or substitute (I use blue agave; it adds sweetness--and calories--but doesn’t raise blood sugar)

Leftover grapefruit juice from the fresh grapefruit

S/O went to boarding school and uni in Rhode Island. He can do a pretty good "lobstah"!

Edited to add: He doesn't know how to cook 'em, though. I'm the champion lobstah cooker. I do thank them for their sacrifice just before I humanely plunge them into the boiling water. Sounds stupid, but it's an ancient custom I revere.

Now I'm fiending lobstah!! No one does em bettah than New Englandahs! I'm thinking I may need to find myself a good ole fashioned New England clambake like we used to have when we were kids , with lobsters, steamers, sausages wrapped in flounder then in a paper packet, corn on the cob, potatoes, and onions all steamed in a large, covered metal garbage can, buried over coals in the ground, and covered in seaweed to slowly steam, then opened and shared with a large group of friends and family! Best way to eat lobstah evah!

I had one of those last time we were in Portsmouth for my friend's Abbey reunion. The clams were awful gritty, but everything else was primo.
