We lost our sweet Mo (maine coon mut) last fall. I was not going to get another cat, but missed him so after a few months we got a very small 6 month old female from the animal shelter. We named her Minnie, and she was the opposite of Mo in every way. She caught a mouse within being in home less than 24 hours.
(Mo thought he was a dog).
She does all the crazy kitten stuff, runs around like crazy, attacks you when you walk by her etc.
So last week I kept noticing her sitting in the dining room looking out the bay window. Someplace she never really spent anytime before. So then I hear her banging into the window, and peek around the corner to see her "attacking" a gold finch. For 2+ weeks now, every day this little gold finch lands on the windowsill outside the bay window, and then she stalks him, when she gets close he flutters straight up the window, and she jumps and slams herself against the window. He lands back on windowsill, and the process repeats. This goes on for about 15 minutes, and one or the other gets bored. But the gold finch tends to come back several times each day. It's the craziest thing I have ever seen. They seem to playing, if it wasn't play why would the bird keep coming back?
Anyway it cracks me up, and I enjoy watching them.
Has anyone else ever experienced anything like this?
