Good news in an otherwise crappy day...
I've officially been released from maximum care (I think that's what he called it) at the chiropractor. I'm pretty much as good as I'm going to get.
It was funny to listen to him describe as kindly as possible how I'm older and so my bones act weird and more stubborn compared to DD and blah, blah, blah. It's ok Dude. I'm ok with getting old. Today anyway.
I will start a maintenance plan starting in 3 weeks. (More or less the equivalent of a tune-up.) Gotta keep my aging bones from building up calcium and keep range of motion as flexible as possible.
I cannot tell you how excited I am to not have to go to 3-4 chiro visits a week.

Great news! Hope the maintenance plan works well! And what will you do with all that newfound free time! I'm sure the kiddos will find a way to fill that time in!
Yay Aubrie!

I felt the oldest when I was around 30. I am way more active now and feel a lot better for it.

Yeah, I am. Barely.
I felt the oldest when I was around 30.
So it's not just me! What is it about it? 30 scares the ever livin' crap out of me. I feel positively prehistoric.
Not sure I can explain it the same way the doctor described. I'll give you the dumbed down version. By age 25, nearly all your bones will ossify. So basically, he can't do too terribly much with my bones. They are what they are. My DD still has young, soft bones. Her changes were very drastic compared to my results. Because she's younger, and her bones are more pliable. (I guess that's the right word)
At any rate, I feel much better. Still a couple hangups. But overall 95% better. And that feels awesome.

Yay, indeed! Glad to hear everything's getting back to normal. Although my chiro is the sweetest lady and a personal friend, I don't wish to be on her couch more than once a month for my tune-up!
However, I just got back from her office because I got all new kitchen appliances over the weekend. In order to move my old fridge into my art studio, last Friday I had to move everything that was interfering with the doorway--i.e., absolutely every freaking thing in my studio--out of the way and move them all back on Saturday and Sunday. Back and neck went ouch. But Katrina puts me in a headlock and makes it all better. I love her. I hope she never retires until I can no longer move under my own steam!
Age: 64..ummmmmmm, no...............65....no...oh, hell born in 1947. You figure it out!

(((Aub)))
Dont sweat 30, it's just a number....Really it's like that for quite some time (like the next 3 decades).
That means you are that much closer to 40, and sister 40 is where it's at. You are old enough that you have crediblity, and get respect, and you also have enough life experience to be comfortable in your skin, and confident in not giving a shi! what the rest of the world thinks. Your kids are much closer to being self sufficient, and you get to spend more time doing what you want.
I love my 40's so far.
