It's in the mail...supposedly

Brief background: POS said he would sign dissolution paperwork (giving me what I want) without a fight. He has had it since July 19 and has been stalling on returning it. That has put my guard up as it usually means he is up to something. I have been asking about it about once a week to keep it on the radar, and he continues with lame excuses. Last Monday he said it would be in the mail by week's end. Texted him on Friday asking if it was in the mail. Response, "No, it will be mailed Monday." More stalling...and my patience is wearing off quickly.

Then providence shines upon me on Friday and I find out about secret OC#2. Though I have been taking the high road to get this concluded amicably (and to my benefit), I sent him a scathing text on Saturday advising that I knew about OW#3's move from the state, where she was located, his newest spawn, and that I now had witnesses to the A (the messenger of the OC news). I also advised that if all the paperwork, with required supporting documents, were not signed, notarized, and in the mail on Monday I would be going to an attorney on Tuesday to file an at fault divorce for adultery.

I received a text this morning that all documents are in the mail...

I should receive by Friday and, if all is in order, I will be filing it on Monday. Thirty days after that 22 years of marriage will be over and he will be out of my life. I won't have to be sickeningly nice to him any longer, which is about to make me puke.

However, he is notorious for accidentally "forgetting" things, so it won't surprise me if there is something missing in the documents, or he missed signing a page. I will know in a few days and am keeping my fingers crossed until then.

Once filed, his personal shitstorm will likely begin as our kids are being nice for my sake, but have told me repeatedly that once the papers are officially filed they intend to go off on him and tell them how they really feel about his douchebaggery. He has NO IDEA what is around the corner, and because of their age, there is nothing I can do to stop the kids from venting.

Fingers crossed and hopeful, but this is going to be a very LONG week waiting...

Fingers firmly crossed here, too.

I will pray that he has signed everything and mailed it to you. Then before long you and your children will be free from the sperm donor douchbag. I hope the those sperm receipient OW take him to the cleaners for CS for years to come. He deserves everything he gets. Maybe OW#3 will reward him with yet another OC (let's all pray for triplets). I just feel sorry for the children to have to grow up with parents like that.
