Can you fly with pill organizers? I see where they recommend you take your original medication bottles, but the person flying takes 9 meds in the a.m. & 7 meds in the p.m. and I do the med sorting to help ensure accuracy. I just thought of this potential issue, and saw on some site a suggestion to have the doctor (for dementia patients, for ex.) write a note. Too late for us...flight's tomorrow a.m.
Should I xerox a copy of all the various labels to stick in with his pill organizers? The ticketed passenger is already leery of traveling, so I'm trying to ensure all goes smoothly.
Can someone help me out here?

I don't know. I have seen seniors with all their pill bottles in a ziploc bag. I think if you sorted them all and then also sent the bottles in a ziploc that might help?
If in doubt, a call to the airline might help

I carry a lot of meds -- pills, liquid meds, lotions, creams... -- for my son. Everything goes in one large clear ziplock bag. I have a medical letter in there; meds are in their original containers OR in an organizer along with the original containers. I have never had anyone, ever, in almost seven years, ask to look at any of it. Flying domestic and international, big jetliners and dinky puddle jumpers, two to six times a year. I have it out, hold it up when doing the initial i.d. check, put the bag in the bins going through security scanning. I don't think you will have any trouble at all. Take the original containers with you just in case, otherwise you should not have any issues.

I took mine without issue in one of those.

I fly a lot with nothing more than a pill box. I'd be careful about anything considered a narcotic. If you are unsure. Take pictures of the prescription labels on your phone or xerox the labels if you are unsure. The labels will have the pharmacy phone number to call if they need to verify.

Generally within the country you can fly with pill organizers. For scheduled drugs (morphine, adderall, lortab, Ativan, ambien) I'd take the bottle with your name on it.
For international travel carry only the bottles of ALL meds and check to make sure controlled substances are legal there (state department),

I knew I could count on SI's font of knowledge to clarify things. Thanks, everyone!
I wound up taking a lovely 'studio shot' of all the medication bottles (w/labels readable), printed it on photo paper, and on the bottom half of the page wrote doctors' & pharmacies' contact numbers. Hopefully that passed muster...I haven't heard any complaints, anyway.
We retired to bed just before pj4's post (early show-time @shuttle to airport) so the ambien & Adderall bottles didn't make it into the luggage per her/your suggestion, but I'll definitely do that if I ever get my InfrequentFlier on a plane after this trip's completion!
Thanks again!
