My 31 year old son quoted this to me last year. Yes, he was raised with the classics . . . .

My dd will occasionally answer he phone by saying, "Ghostbustahs, whadda ya want?" Love.

I'm good with most of the list here, including the Holy Trinty of Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles and Pretty in Pink. My 14 year old ds recently watched The Breakfast Club and now is trying to do the "spit in the air and catch it" thing. That was NOT the point of the movie!!!

Can I submit Top Gun and Risky Business?

Yes, The Blues Brothers.

The car chase scene in the mall. Can't think about it without hearing the music playing in my head.

All great movies.

All Monty Python movies of course.

I don't think I saw Animal House on the list. (My daughter made a reference to this over the weekend, and I couldn't decide if I was laughing harder from her joke, or from the fact that my 14 yo daughter made the reference...Parenting WIN!)

It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark, and we're wearing sunglasses. - Hit it

I had a boyfriend that used to say this almost every time we got in the car to go anywhere

For me it's any of the John Hughes movies.

That's a lot of good movies right there. One of my favorites is Meatballs. Prob. not really "best" retro movie but it is funny to me.
