Well we went to a fund raiser event tonight. My H had submitted a work to be auctioned so we went. His work was awesome one of the top dollar

Any way my DD and her friend were there and I was talking to DD about one of the auction items. fWH comes over and pulls me away. He says to me she just walked in. I was still on the subject of what object our DD liked so it didn't register. Then he says___ is here. I was like oh crap. We didn't talk about it before because we were sure she wouldn't come. He was good told me I was above her so just let it go... I took in a big breathe and ignored her. I continued with my DD talking. She and her friend were leaving and she's like are you ok. I was yes good just go and have fun and be safe. Then I give her a kiss as she leaves and there she is hovering. I went to mingle and found my Hubby. He tells me he loves me and I look beautiful. He made me feel comfortable though she kept bumping into us. At one point she almost ran me over while staring at my husband as he explained his art to a friend. I just went to him hugged him. And stood next to him. We mingled and met several old aquaintences. And she just kept hovering. She was really trying to push my buttons. I just ignored her and kept moving on. As we were leaving we heard the music and we went to the dance floor with friends. She was there. Kept trying to get my H attention. He didn't even notice she was there. I said let show her how an old married couple in love dance. That made her leave. :)

I'm sorry you had to see her.

You and your H handled it beautifully as a team. It made me smile hearing how close you and he are.

Glad you both shut her down.

Good job, both of you!

Imagine a ship trying to set sail while towing an anchor. Cutting free is not a gift to the anchor. You must release that burden, not because the anchor is worthy, but because the ship is.
