I am a scaredy cat. Lost Boys was just on tv and now I'm watching Halloween. I'm going to be kicking myself when it's bedtime. Why the heck do I do this to myself?

I'm going to need to look at a heck of a lot of kitten and puppy pics to bleach my brain.

40th anniversary of The Exorcist. Probably the scariest I ever saw, but I was pretty young then.

ETA: We used to get drunk down in Georgetown and go sit on the steps between Prospect and M near the house used in the filming. It's actually a bit of distance from the bedroom window to the steps.

I've never seen that movie. I should flip Sesame Street on, but then I'll dream about snuffaluffagas hunting me down.

snuffaluffagas is CREEPY. Have you ever watched his eyes?

I'm working from home and I've got "The Haunted" playing on the tv. Back to back episodes playing today, and I'm letting them play. While I'm alone. In the middle of NOWHERE.

I was 6 when my dad took me to see it. I was terrified to sleep in my bed after that. I watched some of it the other night. It still gives me the creeps.

No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

The Conjuring *was* creepy, probably more so since it's true.

Saw The Exorcist a long time ago. Really wouldn't mind seeing it again.

Now one "scary" movie I didn't find so was The Ring. I'd heard all the hype about how it was scarier than The Exorcist, it would give you nightmares, etc. So I watched it. And kept thinking "Okay, when's the scary part??" Admittedly there was *one* part that was kinda creepy: when the girl climbs out of the TV (hope that's not a spoiler for anyone...) but scary? Nah, not a bit.

Oh, The Ring was so stupid. Puh-lease. Same with Blair Witch. At what point was BW scary? I sat there through the entire movie feeling puzzled, wondering if I was being punk'd.

Having been married to a psychopath (LOL!), I think I'm ruined for stupid made-up Hollywood stuff.

The Exorcist creeps me out. The Conjuring gave me chills. Other then the scene of her crawling out the tv The Ring was meh, same goes for The Grudge, except the scene of her crawling down the stairs...creepy. I'm very much a book person, so of course I plan to reread my favorites Amityville Horror and It...cuz you know using my own imagination to mess with my head is so much fun.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought The Ring bordered on stupid. It's because of that movie that I *rarely* believe the hype on scary movies. Or any movie for that matter. If it's a sequel, I tend to go by what I thought of the first one. If I didn't like the first one, chances are I won't like the second.
