My H and I try to take every other Thanksgiving just the two of us. This will be one of those years. Sometimes I've done ham ... but we both enjoy the stuffing and sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie, so I keep it somewhat traditional.
Lately I've been having thoughts about a taco bar, but I'm trying to stay on track!

Because in my situation I didn't know if I was the OW at first or if I was being cheated on. Found I was being cheated on.

It's not about what you eat, it's about recognizing all the thing you are thankful for.
While the whole Thanksgiving thing can be a whole lot of work, and go unappreciated with turkey and all the trimmings I can honestly say that the 2 years we lived away from family we did not do traditional Thanksgiving.
One year we did Steaks, and twice baked potatoes, and cesear sald, my favoritest meal ever. The next year we did fajitas. (I did work thanksgiving both of those years too).
Anyway Good well made burgers with a few extravagant toppings like Havarti, or blue cheese, some advocodo, and special high quality buns sounds fantastic.

She suggested doing burgers on the grill (even if snowing).
So do turkey burgers with sweet potato fries...it is a win-win.
I grew up doing non-traditional because my dad does not like any sort of fowl.
It doesn't bother me if a holiday goes non-traditional but when it does, I am in the mood for a traditional one the next time around.
