I heard I should only be doing minimums, but for things like heat and water, phone, internet, I cannot pay half or mins. I have to pay in full. I only wanted him to pay a few months worth. Can I show in court that I paid them and want 50% reimbursement? do I have to print off something to show I paid these bills? like a bank statement?

I wasn't asking for mortgage but if it doesnt hurt me I will.

also, when i go into court, will they split the charge cards and rest of bills in half up till that courtdate? How do I show whats due per that date? only thing accurate will be a phone call in with voice automated balances.

Im worried cause I have spent thousands in the last 2 months and it will be more this and next month, before hearing, and he has only paid $400.

Id really like to get some reimbursement- altho hes likely to run and not pay. I would stick him with contempt to get his ass in jail. he did this with his ex and didnt pay ANYTHING per court order :(

Unless there is something IN WRITING that shows him agreeing to pay half the bills (or any portion towards the bills), you are screwed. I, too, was out thousands upon thousands of dollars because EX cut me & the kids off financially as soon as we separated. There was an oral agreement between our lawyers that he would provide half his paycheck for me & the children, but because nothing was in writing he didn't do it. And I've never gotten that money back.

You will probably be in the same world of hurt as me, and for that I'm sorry. You can try to force him to pay, of course, but if there's nothing in writing...

talked to lawyer and I will get 50% of all bills for the last couple months as well as 50% of any minimum. yay!
