When I was babysitting the grandkids Saturday night, I brought along my facepainting kit because they just love getting their faces done. Little one asked to be a butterfly. Easy enough. There's a photo in the kit and I've done it many times for them. Older GD flabbergasted me with a request to be a ladybug. How the heck was I to do that? She was quite happy with the result. I think I need some practice. And maybe a nearby picture of a ladybug!

Need a like button!

Where does this Grammy find a face painting kit?

Kajem, I just picked one up at my art supply store when I was there buying acrylics. I expect you can probably get them at craft stores? I don't personally shop at Walmart (don't like their employment practices)but when I Googled "face painting kits", up popped Walmart with the same kit I bought for $14.99. That was Walmart Canada, so the US price may be less.

Getting them to stay still enough to do a good job is a problem.

And a slightly fuzzy partial job photo of the little butterfly. Still missing the body and antennae at this point.

Why, thank you, PPGA! I do a food craft with them as well each time I stay with them. Saturday we made little men in Santa hats using in order of the way they're threaded on a stick: miniature marshmallows, ends of strawberries, banana slices, and big green grapes. After eating quite a lot of those, the little one said, "Nana T, I believe I might turn into a fruit." I had to bite the inside of my cheek!!!!
