I suppose I didn't waste the morning but will idle away the rest of afternoon/evening...

went running at 5am because I couldn't sleep, spent 4 hours at a discovery workshop about becoming a licensed massage therapist...something I've been interested in doing after I retire from current career in 5 years. And then had a nice lengthy lunch with a girlfriend. Its dark outside already so I'm surfing SI, will do some online shopping, and then a nice hot shower later. (I long for a bath but the bathtub thingy broke years ago and it's not fixable without replacing the whole tub/drainage pipes)

Well... let's see:

Washed a load of clothes, dried them, folded and put them away.

Folded an already washed/dried load from last weekend

Cleaned kids bathroom

Ate cereal

Took car to car wash

Went to Kohl's

Went to Apple Genius Bar to get computer looked at

Ate Pizza at food court

Went to Dillards

Went to F.Y.E ($5 movies!!!)

Went to Barnes and Noble and bought books and sat in Cafe.

Stopped by Starbucks

Went home.

Was that enough??

No?

Ok, I've got a load of sheets in the washer now.

I spent much of the morning being lazy in bed, then dragged myself to Home Depot to buy paint and a curtain rod, and then prepped, taped, and painted the kids' bath after having repaired (again!) the pulled-from-the-wall towel rack last weekend. First coat is on and drying and I will do the second coat after the kids go to bed -- or maybe tomorrow. Soon it will be time to get the kids from their dad, and then we will have dinner and play some games or something, then tomorrow we will put up the Christmas tree and maybe make some cookies. Ooh, I should prep the dough...

Hibernating. It's rudely cold outside. I did venture out for lunch with DD and a long overdue haircut, but otherwise? Total hibernation weekend.

We slept in after a late night.

Lazed around until noon, drinking coffee.

Went to Homegoods and found gifts (yay!)

Ate lunch out.

Hit Costco.

More coffee.

Tonight, we're watching SEC football (I'm an SEC girl).

Finally10 decided we should make chocolate chip cookies. They smell great.

Well we didn't go to the musical because when they were trying to do a simple tire rotation, I learned that the lugs on one of the wheels were totally stripped, two of them broke off and had to be replaced and the calipers were rusted solid. The mechanics were able to get it all fixed but of course it cost more than I expected.

And I failed emissions because the battery was disconnected during the body work I had last week. (I didn't post about it but I got up close and personal with a deer on the interstate at 80 MPH). So now I have to drive it for a while to let everythign reset before I get it re-inspected for another $25.

ETA: But we got the tree!

Since I loafed so much on Saturday... I have decided that I must work much harder today!!!

So we're off to the grocery store

Then to a big box store

And we have major cooking and cleaning to do.

jrc, Can I rent you out? Do you charge a reasonable rate or would I need to take out a second mortgage to afford a partial use of your vast energy?

I come at a very reasonable rate actually!!

I can cut grass but weeding us not my strong suit. The way I look at it, if it's green it's ok.
