Why are East Coasters so soft? It's only a little after 10 and you guys are quittin' already.

DD#2 finally fell asleep!!
Just finished putting out the presents and filling the stockings.
Now I'm awake!
It's 1:45 am!
It's all good since I'm not sure if next year I will be playing Santa.
When is the jig up?
My girls are 9. Not sure they 100% believe this year.
I've been Santa always.
It's a little bittersweet.

Took the dog to the beach on my way to my sister's. 70 degrees. NorCal rules baby! Drove the lonesome Coast Highway back home after dark with lots of stars glinting.
Now I'm tucked into my fleecy sheets in my tiny house.
Having a scotch - a wee nip o' the Oban I bought to celebrate my new job.
Merry Christmas from the balmy left coast! Don't forget your sunscreen.

heartbroken_kk, you're not far from me. And it definitely rules, though WW has made a temporary PTSD trigger out of the beach for me. I'll recover soon though. I refuse to let her character flaws dictate my behavior.

Jo, JpapaClause is like Santa except JpapaClause only has a goatee, isn't jolly, takes the milk and cookies AND the toys and isn't very quiet when he comes in.

I'm finally able to sit down for a breather tonight. I've been going non-stop.
I could use an egg nog and some of those cookies about now.

Merry Christmas peeps!!!
I brought DS12 into my room this morning and said, "You're 12. It is time to become part of the magic of Christmas." The look on his face was priceless!!!
So Christmas is ready for morning... which it already is!
I had to eat the Santa cookies. And enjoy the moment. It got done! small miracle that.
On a glitter note: my mom used ribbon with glitter. Everyone was covered in glitter by the time the gifts were distributed. I felt like SI was there.

Been enjoying reading this thread while I drink my coffee and count down the minutes till I can leave and get Teslet!!!
All the presents are out. Stocking is stuffed. Special little surprises tucked away in various places to be discovered.
Christmas picnic of chicken wings, chocolate milk, and apple pie ready to roll.
But first, our new tradition of a popcorn brunch at the movie theatre.
I'll be stopping in for a drink tonight.
Why have I never heard of butter rum? It sounds fabulous...somebody get something ready with that in it!
