Email and Message boards like this one. That's it. No Facebook or twitter or anything else. I really like it that way. I sure as heck don't need any more distractions!
Go softly my sweet friend. You will always be a part of who I am.

FB - almost daily
LinkedIn - twice a month, maybe? If that.
Pintrest - I have an account but almost never go on there. It overwhelms me and makes me feel totally lazy and inadequate.
Oh... and SI, of course. Daily.
That's it. I'm lame.

I have two email accounts - Yahoo and Gmail but haven't checked Gmail in so long I forgot my password.
I occasionally look at Google+
And of course SI.
I used to have a Facebook page but deleted it almost immediately. Had it, maybe?, for about a week.
No Pinterest, Twitter, reddit, LinkedIn or any of the other bazillion social media sites. See no real need to let the entire world know what I think or what I'm doing.

FB - I have a HUGE and widely-flung family. We have a couple of private and hidden groups on FB that we use to keep in touch.
I have a Twitter account for work so I can follow certain organizations associated with my profession. I have never posted a single tweet, and my handle is completely anonymous. I check it maybe once a week?
Oh, and I have a LinkedIn account that work asked me to create. So I set it up and now I ignore it.

I'm not on FB! That used to get more of a reaction than it does now. I think it's becoming more common. I know plenty of people who are able to use it in a healthy way, but it made me feel bad about myself/jealous of other people despite knowing the lives on their profiles were exaggerated/kept me out of the present moment because I was always planning my life in terms of profile pics...how should I dress so that I'll look good online, how should I pose, etc.
I stopped using it in 2009 and have re activated my old profile a few times but quickly realized why I got off it in the first place.
The only part I felt sad about was missing out on my college-aged cousins updates about their lives since getting regular phone calls from them was not so likely. So, I made an Instagram account using a family nickname that no one else knows and I use that only to stay updated on their lives and to update them on mine.
I use Pinterest for laughs, recipes, hairstyles...not for social networking. And I don't have a twitter account.
I met a guy online who was convinced I was a catfish, thinking I was lying about not having any social network accounts, lol.

I have Facebook. But not really.... I have almost never posted any personal stuff on my own FB page, just the odd interesting link to other things, every few months. I do post comments on other people's pages and I "like" a lot.
I use FB to follow family and friends, who DO update their pages - and to find out what former friends and acquaintances are up to. I have lost touch with so many people because of relocations and my abysmal qualities as a correspondent. I know it's futile to try to reconnect, because I am so bad at keeping in touch, and I love FB for letting me find out how they're doing! Maybe I look at the wrong FB pages, but I find that quite a lot of FB content is self-promotion, or people trying to convince themselves that they have a wonderful life. In that sense, it can be rather depressing.
I use Twitter a little. I have opened accounts on most of the other social media sites mentioned, as I have FOMS (Fear Of Missing Something) but I don't really use any of them!
My first loves are public forums such as this one, and sites with articles where one can post comments. (I recently joined one of these on FB, too.) I post quite a lot of comments in response to public radio programs and on newspaper sites. I think it likely that the vast majority of them go unread.
But I enjoy the writing thereof, and the occasional vent in relation to things I feel strongly about!

PS
When something happens that's discussed on almost every media talk show, or videos go viral, the first place I hear about them is almost invariably our very own SI! My thanks to everyone who posts this sort of thing and keeps me in the loop.

I have 2 email accounts...
One is Yahoo and the other is AOL.
I got a really strange look from the clerk at Old Navy when they asked for my email address.
AOL is for all my junk emails.
I am on FB
I will never be on LinkedIn since that is how I ended up on SI.
I had twitter for the school closing announcements and could never figure out how to actually tweet.
SI is my go to for keeping up with what's going on out there in cyber world.
