Well I am currently looking for a house to rent in NC and I know A LOT have breed restrictions and all that but this homeowner I called was just mean and well an idiot. I have a German shepherd/lab and a Boxer American bulldog. He said " YOUR dogs are aggressive dogs and I won't allow them in in my property... I love animals but I just don't like German shepherd or rotties or pitbulls in my house" had he said it nicely, I would have said " ok I understand I'll just looked for something else". But his tone was not nice... I hope his house doesn't get rented for the rest of the decade....

I'm so sorry. I have an English Mastiff and when I moved I had the hardest time finding a dog friendly place. What helped a lot was making a "dog resume" for my pets. I included the most adorable pictures of them I could find, I listed their age, activities, training certifications, and references (my previous landlord, vet, and dog sitter).
I will tell you that it helped quite a bit. A couple of firm no's changed their mind. It showed the landlords that I was a responsible dog owner and that they were well cared for, trained dogs with shots. Additionally, I offered extra deposit.
Keep plugging away - try Craigslist and ask friends/colleagues.

I hope he rents it and the deadbeat lies about pets, and has 20 cats, and no litter boxes, and a dozen of those smaller rat dog breeds, you know some yorkies, and Chihuahua's. They do way more damage to property than the laid back larger breeds.
Some people are cluelss, and you can't fix that.
I had trouble as a college grad finding an apt to rent with an 80# Golden Retriever. He was the best dog ever. Seriously, never had potty issues, never barked, and was very friendly. Some places just have firm rules and you aren't going to get them to budge, but private property owners have more leeway to change the rules.
I personally would make that determination on the animal, and do a pet interview if someone wanted to rent. My MIL, and a dear friend both have always had small/tiny dogs, and they are more destructive, harder to potty train, have "accidents" and have chewed up woodwork, and smell just as bad as my Larger Breeds.
Good Luck, I hope you find a place that loves your wonderful mutts, two great mixes. I bet they are awesome.

The rudeness is inexcusable.
My neighborhood was terrorized by a renter with uncontrolled German Shepherd not long ago. Yes, it could have been any other breed, but just to point out that bad pet owners make it more difficult for those that come later.
The pet resume is a good idea.

Thanks my GSD/ lab mix is 4 and my AmbullBoxer is 3... They're just way too lazy to mess around... Plus I have a hyper 2yr old boy that they both love.. So clearly my dogs are not aggressive...

So sorry you're dealing with this!
I just went through a similar situation.
I recently moved and while I was looking I warned my realtor that I was just as likely to get rid of one of my kids as one of my pets and to not show me anything that didn't allow more than 2 pets or large breed dogs. I have a 13 year old shepherd cross and 2 indoor cats. It's hard but don't give up!
Have you tried contacting a rental management company?

I rented a house in a somewhat less desirable neighborhood, and they allowed ANY size dog. I also had an English mastiff, as well as a corgi.

He's a turkey.
Maybe he got bitten as a kid or something.
You'll find something.
How about posting in vets offices or even the animal shelters
The shelters is where tragically too many pups end up after housing challenges like this..
.if they're staffed by nice people they might have ideas.

I am so stressed out... So far all properties I've called have said no to my dogs... Giving them up will never be am option. I am going to make a pet resume for my dogs and get references from the vet and the sitter too etc. I hope I find kind hearted big dog lovers who will say yes to my dogs.
