So I have found out through oldest DD (who is very close to XMIL and talks with her regularly) that XMIL is absolutely FURIOUS with XPOS for what he has done to the family. He needs a place to live and she won't let him move in with her, and she is just nasty and hostile to him at every turn, even though he is the one taking care of her with her health issues (she's almost 90). When DD went to visit XMIL a few weeks ago, XMIL told DD to tell me that she still loves me, still considers me family, and offered to help in any way I needed. I don't need her assistance, but hearing that from this nasty old woman at the expense of her own son did make me smile (she really is a bitter, nasty old person). She has even cut XPOS out of her Will and left everything to the grandkids. So if XPOS thinks he will be getting a financial windfall on her passing (and I truly believe he thinks that since he is her only child), he is going to be in for a nasty surprise! I've never been close to the old biddy, so for her to reach out to me through DD speaks volumes about how she feels toward XPOS!

My MIL is furious with WH as well. And so, so sad about the choices he's making. I really feel for her.

Glad that has happened for you. Enjoy it! I've followed the advice on here and other sources and haven't reached out to the Xin-laws. In return, there are crickets from them as well. I don't know what to say when people ask me what STBXWH's family is saying, and then they seem shocked that they haven't reached out. X Aunt B reached out to me, but we're buddies so that isn't surprising.
