I'm making some.
I've been putting words to thoughts that did not have them, articulating and clarifying myself better, gaining perspective, and becoming more functional.
So glad I stopped IC and spent the time in solitary introspection. I don't think I would have gotten anywhere as far as I have otherwise, and looking back at how far I've come, I'm reasonably... less ashamed of myself.
It's a work in progress.
Is there anything you've looked back on lately and saw that you made more progress than you realized? Share.

Good for you!!!
I think every day has a little victory for us if we acknowledge them. Like: I knew I was sad, so I let myself cry. I knew I wished I could talk to him, but I kept NC, even though it hurts to not be able to reach out. I tried to listen to others despite being sad: the cab driver working a second job to support a new baby, my brother whose coworker suddenly died, my roommate and friend who is having insurance worries. Focusing on the fact that my pain and struggle is not the only pain or struggling in the world.
Truly it is a journey with stops and starts. But it's going somewhere instead of stagnating and that is the main thing.
Here's to your destination as well as the rest of the never-ending (in a good way
) road.
