I lost 2 pounds.

I've been leaving work in a more timely fashion.

I've been doing one thing just for me - last night was laser hair removal. Not the most glamorous, but it's for the long term beautification of me.

Fireproof, what activities would you want to cut back on? Do you have trouble saying no? You're allowed to decline invites politely to focus on you!

Sit. Feast on your life.

That is great Williesmom! Is laser hair removal painful? I think that is exciting!

The social activities are fun but draining. In my NB I have made some good friends but keep in touch with old friends. I am blessed and I was asked to be the social outlet for a group.

I think it is just that I run constantly with different groups- men, women, families etc. I tried to have one night where I stayed home and it was one week. I think I will just have to figure out a time and plain cut back. I met someone new the other day and she wanted to hang out but I can't fit another person in my life.

I knew my life before and this is all new. Just need to be more present and less busy!

I should have posted here before, but I didn't know about the thread.

I was trying all the time that STBX and I were separated to lose weight, but I'm sure you all understand how this stuff turns your life upside-down. I'd be exhausted all the time, or unable to eat properly, or want junk food, or just otherwise be frustrated in my plans to exercise.

However, once I was finally able to file for D, suddenly it became much easier. I started exercising regularly and eating much, much better and also sleeping better...and I've lost ten pounds already!

Today I'm wearing a pair of jeans I haven't worn in a long time and feel like $1,000,000!!!

So my goals: I plan on speaking with my boss next week to cut back on my hours at work so that I can do more to help people. I work on Saturdays in a volunteer ministry and also one evening per week, but I want to expand this and am not very concerned about having less money. I'll have enough, and that's what matters.

Another goal is to continue this great trend of exercising even when I'm pressed for time, like last night when I didn't get home until 8pm. I ate a light dinner I had prepared the night before, worked on other things for about 45 minutes, and then did a 20-minute workout so that I could still shower and be in bed by 10:30pm (I get up very early for work). I felt great this morning because I did NOT skip working out even though I had so little time.

Another goal is to go on expanding my horizons in a dietary sense, really planning ahead as regards my meals so I'm never caught having to eat junk food because it's the only thing available. Healthy snacks!

One of my goals was not to isolate myself...during the past year, I was alone quite a lot because STBX was out chasing his whores, and now I actually have a social life which is wonderful! I used to always be at home on Sunday nights, but not anymore. I go and meet my friends in a local park and am still home in enough time to get to bed at a reasonable hour. Good, healthy fun.

Thanks for the goals thread!

Congrats Marlie! Your post is great!

I am going to organize my finances and plan a future.

I am also going to walk and enjoy relaxing.

I have to work but it will be minimal.

I would suggest checking out festivals in your town to get out and enjoy.
