Since the middle of may I have really changed my lifestyle. Eating right and exercising at least an hour a day. I put in a ton of work. I posted a picture on fb about my new look. My sister texts me if im okay. She said that ive lost a ton of weight fast to be "that skinny". So when I started my healthy lifestyle I weighted 160lbs which is a lot to my 5'4" frame and wore a size 9 or 12 depending on jean brand. I now weight 134lbs and wear a size 5. I got muscle tone and the start of a nice 6 pack. I also went from 41" on my hips to 37" I am not sick looking. Ive gotten many wow you look amazing and a few of my friends have asked me to help them out with workouts. So im actually doing something right. But my sister doesn't think so. I worked so hard to get into shape and lose a lot of baby weight ive carried for 5 years. Grrr

You know you're healthy. You know you did it the "right" way. What does it matter what she thinks? Let it roll.

I'm sorry. I agree with NL--don't let this drag you down. And be proud!

Ah. My guess is that she is jealous. Even if she doesn't have weight to lose, sometimes siblings get off on being the "thinner and prettier" sibling. Do NOT let her comments get you down. Flaunt your stuff, girl! You did an amazing job getting that weight off and if people in your life can't be supportive, well -- too bad!

I had always been the fat sister. I have a sister who is 3 years younger. Even though she struggles to keep her weight down, she always managed to do it. Whereas, I just kept getting bigger and bigger. Until one year I snapped and lost a lot of weight in a relatively short period of time. I was 2 sizes smaller than her. Being that she lives in another state, we would go many months without seeing one another. The next time I went to visit, she was smaller than me. But it made her happy because she was once again, thinner than her fat sister.

And yeah, I let it get to me but what can you? I just decided to stay on my path and how she feels (and how she looks) makes no difference to me whatsoever!

Anyway, congrats again on your fabulous healthy life!

I understand where you are coming from. It's hard when someone you care about rains on your parade.

But NL and nora are right - you have to brush this off and be proud of what you accomplished.

I know I am doing great and really healthy. I worked my butt off to get all the extra weight off. I didnt think id do it that fast. But it did. I havvent weighted this much since 2002. I still got some belly and leg fat to lose but im good.

It depends on your relationship. As an older sister, and apparently codependent, I tend to mother my little sister. What I thought was concern, she saw as something else. Is she used to you being heavier? Does she think there is a health concern you aren't telling her? Have you just told her about your weight loss like you did us? If she is uses to seeing you heavier, you might look different to her.

Her text sounds like she is concerned, fast weight loss could be a sign of illness, drugs, not eating. Just take it like that and tell her your great news.

My first thought was how concerned people were when I lost a lot of weight due to the infidelity diet. I looked great, but it was a lot of weight and very fast. They were right to be concerned. My ex, though, said, "I'm proud of you!" which pissed me off.

Maybe your sister is just worried that you are depressed again, and sincerely wants to make sure you are okay. Rapid weight loss is rarely a good thing.

Sounds to me like sis is jealous.

FWIW I wish I had the motivation to exercise that much!!

12/18/15 found out my now EX boyfriend was trolling CL for underage girls. From the cops. The fun never stops.
