Thanks Faithful

Round 1 of EMDR tonight.

It's 1 thing to talk about things here anonymously. Another thing to have to actually talk with someone. I hate talking.

Growing up without love. Great fist topic. Crap.

Well, the EMDR wouldn't really be useful if you skipped the painful issues and just sat around discussing your feelings on "peanut butter vs. Nutella." Safer, but not very effective.

The therapist did tell you it would be tough, but I think you saw the thread from an EMDR practitioner who said that normally safeguards are built in, so you can take a break if it is too overwhelming. Why not start your session by sharing your anxieties over the process with your therapist.

We already know you're tough to survive it all, so I suspect you are also brave enough to start unloading some of this pain. Keep your eyes on the horizon. We are all sending you SI mojo, the best there is.

Me: BS, 40's.

You can do it, Yop.

I was scared before my first EMDR session. I didn't know what to expect. Hated the thought of having to go for therapy and talk to anyone about my personal life. EMDR helped me a lot. So thankful I did it.

Peace and strength coming your way.

Growing forward
