I gotta say I used to deal with this and it became 10000 fold worse prior to, and during the A.
After I finally got my strength, and found my voice I would call him out on it, and sometimes in a not so nice way. On better days, I would just ask him "Is this rant intended for me to fix this for you, or are you just blowing steam?" On my worse days my response was more of a "You sound like a 12 year old girl who never had to lift a finger in her life, and is now sentenced to manual labor. Quit whining like a little bitch, and get of your ass to change the situation, or shut the fuck up." That usually stopped him in his tracks. LOL.
Now a days he doesn't do it so much, because well he's fixed his shit. When he starts, I pretty much shut him down immediately.
So my point is I feel your pain, or felt it.
I hope your dog is no longer fragrant, and your knee is feeling better. ((((and strength))))

It is very possible that he knows that you do not really mean "it's over" literally. Using that repeatedly could desynthesize him to it – and it will not have the same effect after that.
Reminder appreciated. The thing is, I meant it. I wasn't flipping out or yelling. I just told him that if his life was so damned miserable, and the thought of a cold winter day was making his life hell - IN JULY - then he should go. If he had taken me up on it, then that would have been ok. too. I refuse to go back to a life where every time things aren't perfect, I have to hear about how everything sucks.
LOVE THE STORIES HERE!! Cheese, douches, keys ready to open a door, and calling him a little bitch - ah, ain't love grand?
