So I took my daughters to the new Frozen movie and was struck deep by the song the next right thing. Its basically a song of codependency and loss of a relationship due to someone else's actions with a smidgeon of attempted hope as you are forced to change and become stronger. One part thinks it's should be our SI theme song another hates that this theme is everywhere.

Things like that really strike deep. Don’t know if I want to hear it, id probably cry. And wow, kids movies can have some deep stuff.

That phrasing and explanation really struck me too. I love it.

I mentioned in another thread the underlying theme of the movie is future choices not being bound by past mistakes. It feels very topical.

I thought the same when I heard it. I had to look up the lyrics. They're good at making kid movies really hit adults.
Maybe today can be a good day, and if today can be a good day, then maybe tomorrow can be too.
We might be broken and imperfect, but we still have worth and value.
As hard as it is to feel pain, it's much harder to feel nothing.

The crazy part is that Anna has no desire to change. It's just thrust upon her when she literally finds herself alone as opposed to alone in a crowded home. As all of us can hide in our "lives" until DDay and then we are forced through the changes that come. We didn't want or ask for them. But at the very least there is that disney "reward " system that the rest of us dont always get- she gets a title bump. I refuse to acknowledge the "husband" as a reward because that just cycles back to feeding her codependency.
Yes I banter Disney as though it's important to life.
