So, this Sunday is the first anniversary of Dday for me. I found out by eavesdropping on a phone call of STBXWW with her sister about her year long EA/PA on our 10 year anniversary after we went out for a nice dinner and when we came home she didn't want to make love. :(

Anyway, I after two months, I had started but then paused divorce proceedings to allow STBXWW to stay on my health insurance.

Recently, I decided to tell my lawyer that I am ready to finalize the D now. I chose to try to coordinate it in the courts to coincide with our anniversaries because that made sense to me and I want to move on.

So, since I made that decision a week or so ago, I have been having mixed feelings, almost like I am depressed and don't care about anything. (other than my DDs 6yo and 9yo.)

Can people please share their tips and advice on making it through Dday anniversary?

Thanks.

I would suggest you plan to do something special for yourself on that day. I would change the meaning of that time of your life. I know this wont be easy and it will take time to get over this but it worked for me. Thankfully in my case DDay was three days before Christmas. I just make my children's Christmas all that more special for them and it almost was like they didn't miss her at all.

I agree. Do something for you. Grab a couple of friends if social distancing permits and go camping or rent a cabin. Take lots of beer, tunes, and lWnchairs. Sit around and shoot the shit. Think of it as a spa day for men.

I'm an oulier in my positions.

Me:57 STBXWW:55 DD#1: false confession of EA Dec. 2016. False R for a year.DD#2: confessed to year long PA Dec. 2 2017 (was about to be outed)Called it off and filed. Denied having an affair in court papers.
