I know that a lot of you are dealing with snow. I just want to tell the world that I am a Weather Wuss. It's 8:20 in the morning and it is 55 Degrees outside and it's too COLD to hang the outside lights!!! I'm safe because it is supposed to hit 80 today so I will put them up in a little while.

So for all of you dealing with snow GOOD LUCK and I'm SORRY.

I don't mind putting them up when it's 20 degrees...it's taking them down when it is 20. Neighbor from well down the street was walking their dog a coupla days ago and said, "You know your going to have to take all those down don't you?"...

I lived at a high altitude in Colorado for 25 years. Had been known to shovel my deck in my pajamas and flip flops.

Now I live near the Everglades and adore the high humidity and heat. I know..weird.

Well, today I walked my dog at 6AM, and it was 46. It was so cold. And I know cold.

Strange how one's body adapts, but I want the heat and humidity back.

It's been 16 here this week. I was shoveling snow on Monday night in pajama pants and shoes with no socks, a light jacket, and no gloves. I was outside for about 30 minutes, so I guess I'm getting used to it already

Well about 9;30 it got up to 65 so I put the lights up. Had to get it done before it got too hot. 80 is NOT normal for december even here in beautiful San Diego, Climate change is a bitch! Except for the wildfires we now have to deal with this IS living in a vacation paradise!!! So yes I'm spoiled!!!

DragnHeart; How the H does one function at -20 or -25??? Went to see my oldest daughter a couple of years ago in Kansas and the temp was 0. When we bought beer we just left it outside for a while to chill because no room in the fridge. At the temps you talk about we only could leave the beer out for about what 15 min??? H' we could only leave ME out for less than that!!!

After Christmas I'm going to clean my boat up and go sailing some more ! In January!! Eat your heart out northerners!!! JUST GOTTA LOVE IT!!

I'm talking celceius not farenheit. So -20 is around -1 F? The windchill was changed to -28. The walk to the bus was brutal even all wrapped up. Damn wind!

Here in Minnesota, I'm with Greeneyes- except for the bikini part. (Try to get the image of Minnesota in a bikini out of your head....)

I put up my lights when it was in the 40's. Sweatshirt, jeans and shoes, but 10 degrees more and it could have been a t-shirt.

Now it's 25ish today in the Twin Cities. I shoveled this am in a sweatshirt - no coat.

The news just said the last time it snowed here was 2008 BUT you had to get to 1500 ft to get any. The LAST TIME IT HAD MEASURABLE SNOW IN VARIOUS NEIGHBORHOODS was 1967, the year I graduated school, I graduated in June and the snow was Dec 13 1967. So it has been awhile.

My morning today will be spent snow blowing the driveway and a path to the back. Yay...NOT! Its cold.

I also have found that one strip of the driveway gets very bad from the blowing snow so since snow fence is on sale I'm picking up a roll for the one spot. Now getting the poles into the ground will be a challenge unless I just put it up against the field fence.

I hate winter!!!

DragnHeart; my wife says I'm FULL of hot air. Maybe I could come up there and just talk to the snow and it would just melt???

Also if you hate snow have you ever considered to move south??
