I have taken a second job as a handyman to provide some extra money for expenses. Generally, speaking, I like the work... but...
About 10 days ago, I was given the job of removing carpet remnants, carpet tack strips, and carpet staples from the floor of an apartment. I was told that I needed to finish the job quickly so that the painters could come in and paint the floor with Kilz (i.e., an odor sealant).
A couple of days after the job was assigned, I was told that they had found 44 cats in the apartment and that it might not smell very good. Really?
And guess what, last Tuesday night... I discovered they were wrong. It was 46 cats. I found two more.
I like cats. Or at least I used to like cats.

I still like cats. In moderation!

I have experience working at sewage treatment plants. This was unbearable for me. I had to wear a respirator.

You absolutely need a respirator.
What makes cat urine so smelly is ammonia.
Poor cats.
I'm sure that is going to need more than Kilz to get rid of the stink.

I'm sure that is going to need more than Kilz to get rid of the stink.
Actually, the application of Kilz to the ceiling and to the walls made the place almost bearable as far as breathing. I still wore the respirator, but I could take it off long enough to scratch my face or whatever.
I never got to experience the place after they applied Kilz to the floor fortunately/unfortunately.
daFUQ???????
I am sure that mental health problems were involved.

Nothing smells quite like the urine of a feline.

I found two more.
You found two cats in a vacant apartment or was it occupied with the tenant and the other 44 cats? Just asking because if they were all alone, goodness knows how long they had been starving...
