Why you ask? Because instead of watching another stupid Disney show for the 17th time I made them turn off the TV and go outside. Poor babies

Ohhhhh, you are in trouble now
No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

Careful - I believe we have several mandatory reporters on the boards. They might turn you in for extreme child abuse.

This is about the 3rd nice warm day of the year, and they want to waste it inside
They're also mad because I want to go to Pizza Hut instead of some other pizza place. Maybe I'll also make them take baths tonight and go to bed early

3rd? Third? THIRD?
No wonder they don't want to do it, that is so boring, they've already done that. You monster!

How long as this been going on? Does BrokenRoad know about this? I think she has the right to know. Now, bring those kids inside and put them in front of that TV, Mr. And don't forget to give them each a new handheld video game device and a new smartphone! Don't forget unlimited texting!
What were you thinking? Ugh...

WH5, you *do* know that some would consider that borderline abuse, don't you? Exposing your kids to all that sunshine and clean air. Not to mention the possibility of bug bites. Really, how could you be so cruel? Letting all that Nature get on them? And letting the environment get so close.
But then again, they might learn to like it...

This reminds me of a conversation that I had with my brother a few months ago. He had taken his dogs out for a walk, and he mentioned to me how neat it was to actually see some kids playing outside in the creek near his house.
My response: "Eh... they were probably just grounded."
