I went to my hometown on the weekend for my sister's book launch. My sister's best friend was my first crush as a kid (seven years older than me). She was there as well.

We did lots of harmless flirting, with absolutely NO intentions of more of course, and it was fun.

As I was getting ready to head back home, she gave me a big hug, and said, "I hear you're making positive changes and being a really good dad right now. You should be proud."

I almost wept on the spot. It was exactly what I needed to hear. I was only able to croak out, "Thank you. It's good."

They're a rare breed, but some people just know the right thing to say!

Divorced the cheater and living my best life now.

The best thing about hitting rock bottom is that everything after that looks fucking fabulous.

You are lucky to know her. See how just a few words can change someone.

I am happy she made you feel good.
