I realize it is 149 days away but my bucket list is taking me to the Florida game.
What do I need to do while I am in town? Is anyone going to be around? Please tell me there is better BBQ than we found in Auburn. Can I walk to Cracker Barrel from Williams-Brice?

Well, um, I actually LIVE here, as opposed to PPGA who is out of town. 
And I am a 3rd generation Gamecock.
You can't walk to Cracker Barrel, unfortunately. I'll find out where the best BBQ is near the stadium. JM works within a block of the stadium, so I know he knows all the places around there. How long will you be here? The whole weekend?

All I know is my kiddos swear by Shealy's BBQ, but I don't know where Shealy's is in relation to the stadium.

We fly in Thursday night, will be spending all day Friday "trippin'" the town and the campus, all day Saturday for the game and all associated festivities and fly out at "Oh my gawd it's early" Sunday.
Anything and everything is on the agenda for those 48 hours.
As a challenge, Auburn didn't have good BBQ but Toomer's Drugs has the BEST lemonade I have ever tasted. Surely Columbia can impress a couple of NorCal guys with something.

Why are you going to SC for a Florida game?
Why not come to Gainsville for a Florida game?

Okay, well, I love me some Shealy's, but it's a drive from Columbia. If you have a rental car and you love BBQ and country-style buffet, JM and I could meet you there on Friday.
If you'd rather stay close to town, I can get together some recommendations for you. I know that Sandy's has awesome hot dogs, ice cream and the best milk shakes I've had anywhere. PM me where you're staying and I'll see what I can find for you.

Jrc, Gainsville is definitely on the list and I will be hitting you up for info and reccomendations when we visit The Swamp.
HFSSC, we will have a rental car and we are staying with my Godson who is stationed in SC. (He owes me that much at least since he screamed when I held him at his baptism 21 years ago. )

Ok we already have tickets for the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular in ATL at 2 on the 16th but both Thursday and Friday nights are open.

I'm thinking we are going to meet for BBQ somewhere on Friday night. Hudson's Smokehouse gets my vote but I am open to other suggestions.
