Discovered today (yay google) that pinching the sides of the nose or the lip below the nose will instantly relieve cramping in the toes.
WHY did it take 40 years for this information to get to me?
Grateful because it worked. Hope others can benefit!!

I get foot cramps a lot (unfortunately, sometimes when I'm driving). I'm going to have to try this next time!

You can also get yourself some Lite Salt (in the blue container) which are actually potassium salts, and add a pinch to your coffee or water every day. That helps a lot with preventing them and is a LOT less expensive than potassium tablets or eating a 1000 bananas every day!
Imagine a ship trying to set sail while towing an anchor. Cutting free is not a gift to the anchor. You must release that burden, not because the anchor is worthy, but because the ship is.

Yeah, cause I don't like bananas. 1000? um, no.
Potassium salt. Learned two things today!
And yes, the cramp was INSTANTLY gone when I pinched my nose (just below what I think of as the bridge of the nose. I don't know if it matters where exactly. But I did want to still be able to breathe!)

Eating a dried apricot will work, too, and is way more delicious! Your foot cramps because it needs certain nutrients. Pinching your nose or lip won't provide the nutrients.

Yep.
My mom taught me this when I was a kid. Works for Charley Horses too!
I still do that and eat two nanners a day.

I have never used that, and will definately give it whirl the next time, if I can remember. Sometimes the pain is so bad that it makes my brain short circuit.
My Gma, and Dad both has issues with crampy muscles. They both used to take a low dose of quinine, but they don't allow that anymore, so I drink tonic when I know I will be doing something that will bother me. Like being a ladder, wearing heels, etc. Of course if a little gin slips in that helps too.
