Filed on August 23rd and the hearing was set today for October 19th! There was a delay due to some judicial conferences going on that backed up the docket a bit (only required a 30 day wait period). That will be 9 days shy of 7 months from final DDay.

The end is officially in sight now and I will finally have that parasite surgically removed permanently from my life!

I am just super lucky to live in a state that only requires a 30 day waiting period for uncontested dissolutions. THAT makes the difference.

POS waived his right to notice and appearance, so it will be interesting if he surfaces in any capacity (the info is public record in the court website)... I wouldn't put it past him, and I will be ready to celebrate and exhale that night if all goes well!

Sorry yours is dragging out NG...

I hear you NG. Here in Ontario, you have to be separated for a year before you can file. The whole thing often ends up taking a minimum of 18 months. I want to get away LONG before that!

Divorced the cheater and living my best life now.

The best thing about hitting rock bottom is that everything after that looks fucking fabulous.

I'm in Ontario too Pass. I told them that WH confessed to infidelity, so why couldn't I just go straight for divorce??? They said that on the chance he contests, I would need solid proof. Ugh. I would just like it to be done. Cheating is a deal-breaker for me for sure.

I got into the marriage, because I loved him. I got out of the marriage, because I love me.
