Dear stepdaughter stopped by today with her son and her best friend. They also brought along her best friends daughter. She is 4 months old. I originally met her when she was 3 days old. She is named after the goddess of love.

Today was her first full day back from the hospital. She was diagnosed with a fractured skull. She will, in all likelihood have seizures for the rest of her life. She is also most likely going to be blind. The blood has pooled behind and around the retinas in both eyes.

When they got here, she began to cry. That's not a good thing, as it is one of the things that can induce a seizure. I asked if I could hold her and attempt to calm her. I pulled her to my chest, snuggling and we began to walk. I talked to her, describing what I was seeing and hearing. She grabbed my chest hair and attempted to snuggle closer. 15 minutes of walking and talking did the trick, she began to doze. I took her back inside and gave her back to Mom and they went back home.

A week ago, she was a healthy normal child. Today, I come to you to ask you to send mojo and prayers for this little angel. Not me, her.

Both the daycare provider and father are under investigation.

((((baby))))

Sending mojo, strength and healing thoughts. How horrible that someone could hurt such a precious, helpless angel.

That's so horrible. Sending mojo and prayers that this child can find comfort and heal, and that justice will be served.

Thank you for providing love and comfort to this child today, 5454.
