Not me, my dog has the fetish.

I have a spaded female shetland collie (4-5 YO).

The damn thing loves to grab my wife's or daughter's panties (Clean or dirty?!) and chew the crotch out of them.

Anyone else ever see that.

I'm not sure if she's attracted to their scent or repulsed by mine!

One of my dogs does this too.

The same dog will also chew my husband's socks.

..

..I can only hope it is not happening...while they are wearing them!!!???

..dogs have sensitive noses and may be attracted to the laundry softener...I hope!!!

..may I suggest that all underwear be kept 'out of reach' from now on??

..are you feeding the dog enough??

..are there 'doggie psychologists' out there???

..my neutered cat loves to stuff his head in my old slippers and go to sleep..

..I think our pets just like to get close to the scents we give off..

..some of them like to chew on those things too.

that's all I've got

My female dog did the same thing. I had to keep my panties out of her reach!

Dogs like to eat underwear because it is drawn to your smell and chewing your underwear brings out your smell even more. It is very common for dogs to chew underwear and socks but it is best to get them to chew on something else.

I found this comment online about it.

No one changes unless they want to. Not if you beg them. Not if you shame them. Not if you use reason, emotion, or tough love. There is only one thing that makes someone change: their own realization that they need to.

Our little dog used to to that to my underwear. God, that's kind of embarrassing, but she ruined so many pairs of my underwear.

Our chewer has a lot less opportunity to get at my undies, however, hubby has a habit of leaving his socks on the floor.

The next morning, we find the evidence along with a pup trying to look innocent while simultaneously hiding under the bed.

Here is my professional diagnosis........she's a dog. They eat their own poop as puppies. They eat cat vomit and their own vomit. They think the litter box is a visit to the buffet. My inlaws' dog once ate a lightbulb. They will become doggy Macgyvers to get used feminine products out of the bathroom garbage can. My dog has a thing for paper towels. If they end up eating stuff like socks and underwear (like actually swallowing it), you just have to make sure it comes out!

Yup I have had dogs do this, as well as eat socks, and used female hygiene products, and diapers/pullups.

The pullups were a blast to watch come out on the other end, since they are made to absorb liquid his poops would be a weird jello like substance.

I had a dog that ate the DD shoes, she has particularly stinky feet. He one time ate her sparkly Dorothy shoes, and shat sparkles for a week.

They love stinky stuff.

I thought my dog was weird like that until I read dog shaming and realized how much that happened. That's when I realized it was a scent thing.

Same reason they tear up tissues..to spread scent.

This is a very common thing for dogs to do. Just be careful, a friend's dog recently had to go in for emergency surgery for an obstructed bowel. What did they find? Pieces of her underwear. The dog didn't make it.

Oh yes. My first Sheltie got into the garbage can while we were all at church. My step mother and two sisters were all cycling at once. It looked like Hari Kari.

Another time I was having a party at my house in med school. The same dog walked out of the bathroom with a used tampon hanging out of his mouth like a cigar.

This same dog ate the clavicle (yes, human) out of my anatomy bone box. Boy that didn't go over well with my medical school.

I used to wonder why I spent so much money on upscale dog food when my labs would feast every day on poultry poo and fresh horse manure. Now I get my dogs Costco premium dog food and feel like I met a happy medium. (They still love poo)

I have a friend whose dog ate panty hose.

My friend had to pull them out while the dog was trying to shit in the yard. Keep in mind that she's normally pretty squeamish.

Just came in from taking our elderly dog out. She managed to find some kind of poo while roamjng the yard. She eats tissues if they are within reach. We used to host French exchange students, one time one of the girls went on a day-trip with the group. I was cleaning the house and noticed a mess in the hallway... yup..you guessed it. Shredded used feminine products EVERYWHERE! Yuck. We laugh about it now, but that poor girl was mortified!

My ridgeback eats socks and panties out of the hamper, and it cost me over $3000 two summers ago when she had two obstructions. I go out of my way to keep my hamper locked away, but she still finds a way.

Poop scooping is always an adventure to see what panties are gone that I hadn't yet realized were missing.

My girlfriend has a dog that does this.

I have a cat that shoes my shoes and plastic bags if he can find them.

Animals are weirdos too.

I may have reached a point where I'd piss on him if he was on fire.... eventually!!
