I am going to lose 15 pounds.

I am going to continue to cut back social activities.

I am going to make an effort to attend church every Sunday and get involved with at least one of their charitable activities.

I am going to save more money now that my renter is out and I have remodeled.

Let's go for it!

My goals are to get my spending in order and my finances on track and to put more effort into getting new projects at work. To keep going to the gym/exercising and to cook and entertain a lot once I'm in my new apartment!

Those intending to cut back on social activities...may I ask the thinking? Are you feeling over-extended? I have always done a lot socially, and I guess I'm curious if maybe hearing your perspective on dialing back might make me take a closer look at my habits!

Sit. Feast on your life.

Hey, you can do it. I did. I lost 20 lbs on the infidelity diet. I wear a size 6, now. I look great, and he looks like shit. We don't look like we belong together, any more, and we don't. I wouldn't give him a second look, now.

Fun goal this year:

Run my first marathon!!!!!

More pissy goals:

Cut back on spending

Do something for me every week

Get rid of the crap in my house

What I did this past week...

Ran three days

Used my dd's sick day today to get rid of 6 trash bags of crap

Bought a new heat pump - NOT cutting back. Need to stop coloring my hair in the salon, cancel cable and phone, and lean down my security system.

Sigh...

Me - 52 D-Day 2/5/10, separated 3 wks later, Divorced 11/15/11!!!!

The posts are great! Even one small step makes all the difference!

I am working on sleep too and put my $ for the month in a envelope.

I hope this works!

I exercised but spent most of my money in the envelope this weekend.

I guess I am spending more than I thought.

I might have found a solution with the envelopes to track my spending.

I lost a few pounds but gained a few back this weekend.

I needed a huge break and went out and discovered it is a scary out there but it is baby steps.

Maybe the rest of the week will go as planned

I had been so focused on the goals I have already accomplished over the last couple of years that I feel a bit lost right now ...

I have accomplished:

1. Divorce

2. Moving back to my home state

3. Re-learning how to stand on my own two feet without the support (financial or otherwise) from others.

4. Simply "finding" myself again

5. Loving "me"

6. Living on my own for the very first time in my life.

7. I have lost 45 pounds since being home and I feel great

So many things have happened over the last year that were not in my plans:

1. Broken ties with family and some friends due to my new boundaries and self-integrity

2. SO was never in my plans ... But I am so grateful for his presence in my life.

3. My DS and DD growth and struggles with their father (my X)

New Goals:

1. Continue to get in better physical condition ... I need to work out and loose another 15 to 20 pounds. My BMI is borderline and I need to work on that this spring and summer.

2. Continue to learn about who I am

3. Quit smoking

4. Either go back to school and or find a better paying position

5. Enjoy my freedom and new found happiness of just being "me" more.

I think your accomplishments sound great!

Honestly I am awful at mine right now.

I don't know if it is that I feel unimportant or I am just scared to try again.

Tomorrow is another day. Hopefully I can change my course.

Wise SI people- how do I get past the block?

I am just not motivated- I am more project oriented - maybe volunteering.

I need to succeed!

Any thoughts would be helpful!

I would like to:

Start working out. There's a boxing gym near my house that I think I'll join.

Make some friends. I stopped talking to all but one of my friends when I was with my ex. Bad move. I need new ones.

Start dating. I feel like I'm ready and to be honest, I've been feeling kind of lonely lately. I'd really like someone to share life with.

Wise SI people- how do I get past the block?

Start with very small things. Things that are clearly obtainable so once you do it, you will feel a sense of accomplishment and it will snowball into other items.

Example:

Big, overwhelming goal - Get my house in order.

Babystep goal - Replace my mailbox that the snowplow guy beat the heck out of.

Mailbox is a small job....but one that I will see each day when I pull in my drive and feel good about.

Ok - back to the topic:

Goal:

Replace my mailbox.

Update because I need to keep myself accountable:

Lost 5 pounds

Have not been successful on cutting back on social activities

Bills increased - might require drastic measures cash only

Created an exercise plan

Realize I seriously need a life makeover and more downtime.

I would give myself a 2 but hopefully I can improve

How is everyone else doing?
