That pic of Penny eating her strawberry salad is so cute!!!

DS, you are such a kind person to take care of those little turtles and all of the other animals you care for. A man once told me that "you can always tell a good and trustworthy person by the kind way they treat animals. Their hearts are in the right place".

I hope today's the day Mr. Slithers says he's outta there for good!!! I know the sight of him makes you wanna puke and gives you the shivers, but I almost hope you get to witness his leaving so your mind can finally rest!

Oh my, those turtle pics are just adorable! This may have been covered before, but doesn't Linda like strawberry salad too?

Thanks you guys!!!

Too-Trusting...

Linda loves strawberries...but nothing else. Penny on the other hand loves her strawberries, green beans, dried crickets and a little bit of bird seed sprinkled on top

Penny will not eat any sunflower seeds that haven't been shelled, which means I pick through my bird seed bin every morning and getting only the seeds with no shells

Also, I use dried crickets so I cut them in half for her every morning. I will NEVER get used to hearing *crack...pop* when I cut them

Love the turtles, and I love that you feed them. They are such neat creatures.

My FIL and his wife have several in their yard, of course up here they hibernate when it gets cold.

When I was a kid, my best friends mom was a real farmer lady, and she kept a box turtle or two in her basement all year round. Helps control the spider and bug population. Of course the first time I found out about it, I was in the shower, and heard a scraping sound, and flipped out when I peaked around the curtain to see a turtle trying to join me. The whole family laughed and laughed at me, thought I was the weird one cause I didn't know about keeping turtles.....

Yep...the girls are wild turtles. I guess not so much anymore since they haven't left our yard in over 20 years and they get breakfast every morning

Tushnurse....that's funny!!!! I bet that scared you for sure!!

I love that Penny's salad is on a lovely glass plate. It's very "french"...

Jrazz...I just love you!!

TIKY...I really hope the Snake Away doesn't make Penny or Linda mad, but I don't think where I'm spreading it will effect their path. Penny is pretty consistent on how she makes it up to the patio and back out again

AMI...Penny is stylin'!! She's all full of sass! I always make their salads ahead of time and put it in containers in the refrigerator for our neighbors. They know the routine

Yes if I were your neighbor I would NOT appreciate having to chop up dried crickets in your absence.

DS, you are too much! Making turtle salad when you go on vacation. That is soooo sweet. Penny & Linda are the luckiest turtles on the planet. No wonder Mr. Slithers is hanging around! He heard the eats were great!

OMG, I love those turtles! Thank you for the photos - my stress level went down immediately when I got home from work, logged in, and saw cutie Penny and her salad. Um, surely that salad is about 8 times the size of her stomach? (a turtle after my own heart)
