I am 46 and still treasure every memory of my Dad like this. Keep your daughter close my friend. My father has and continues to be the one constant throughout my life.

I only wish my ex would ever care that much to do something special with any of our kids, and not have a new "gf" there....come on sleazy!
You sound like a wonderful Dad! What a great memory for both of you, and who knows maybe more text free; eye rolling free dates in the future.

Asurvivor, I was just about to tell you not to let the age difference get in the way. But then I realized your "date" was the best girl there. It's really great that you made some lasting memories like that. Good job my friend.
