awwww poor kitty, DD, and you.
Confront the dark parts of yourself, and work to banish them with illumination and forgiveness. Your willingness to wrestle with your demons will cause your angels to sing. Use the pain as fuel, as a reminder of your strength

So sorry for you loss..Hope your daughter continues to improve...But just like someone else said he didn't suffer..
I had a Maine Coon Female years ago and she had two seizures..She was at the vets office and passed...I bet she had the condition everyone is talking about...
I wonder if this is a condition that other cats can have too...I had another cat that let out a yelp and that died at the vets...We assumed her heart gave out..I didn't have an autopsy on her because I hadn't had her very long...She was only 7 months old...

Thank you all so much. I am just sobbing with tears reading all of your kinds words.
Pentup:
What a gift you gave your daughter. You holding her, her Daddy trying to revive her kitty. That is love. She felt it, she will remember it. Rest in peace Teddy.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I felt like I had done her such a disservice. She was alone when he died. But, you have opened my eyes. Yes, it is so sad she saw that on her own, but then she had us. She heard me and her own Dad sob right with her. She watched us grieve and try to save him. She would have totally felt love in such a time of sorrow.
I didn't even think of it until you said it, as I was feeling so child like about the whole thing myself. She got to experience real life. And I am so grateful to you for pointing it out. I am still so sad it all happened, but beyond blessed that we did that for her. And we did to together.

Hugs to your whole family.
I lost two furbabies last year and my son found our furkitty of 15 years...it will take time for your 10 year old to get over it.
