Happy for you, SBB!! Such a long process and I'm sure it's satisfying in a way to see it over. You've already started on a new beginning but now you have the paperwork to prove it.

I did shed a few tears last night but it was the first night my girls were away and I do that the first few nights they go anyway. I wish they were here so I could hug them.
This melancholy has been around for a few days because I'm hating this week-about business. Ironically I've been listening to a song called "Free" non-stop for the last 3 days (this version is beautiful - starts at 0:40 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRcRhWErjjo)
I had the best nights sleep last night - some of it was the 2 glasses of champers but a lot of it was peace. Blessed peace.
Y'know - before I was married I thought the marriage certificate was just a piece of paper. I used to tell people I was surprised that I did feel 'different' once I was married. There's something about standing in front of everyone and making a statement like that. He felt like family, my family felt like his, his family felt like mine. Connection.
I do feel 'different' again now. On Friday night I'm going to stand in front of 20 of my girlfriends and make another statement. One of freedom, of connection with myself, my friends, my family, my amazing little girls. Then I'm going to party like its 1999.
Thank you for all the support you give. I don't know anyone IRL who has been through this so I can't fully express how grateful I am for all of you.

I'm beaming today. Absolutely beaming.
Exactly how I felt when I got mine. I went out to eat with some special people and I got a fortune cookie with, "All good things will now come your way." as my fortune. A few days later, I received the D decree in the mail, official when I got that fortune. And it has been so true! Well, except for what xpos continues to do to me. 
Everything else has been great.
Finding what life could have been....... Why didn't I see it?
