I would love to join in but I can't just yet. Not until June.
Lots on my list to be done..........looks like a busy summer for me!
ETA: I have started exercising. Just walking, but going just about every day for an hour or more!

I don't feel like I can make changes all at once, so I am going to work on the hardest one for me: exercise. Something every day, even if it's just walking,
And I will try to cut back on the amount of sugar I've been ingesting, but once the girl scout cookie season is over that shouldn't be too hard. I hope.

This is a great thread and feels really motivating.
I would like to join. I have a lot things that I keep putting off. I haven't even done a list yet, which might be a good first step.
Here is the start of my list:
- Clean out boxes in closets (stuff from the house when I moved that triggers me)
- Clean closets of old clothes
- Organize closets
- Organize kitchen cabinets and drawers
- Follow-up on the non-D legal cases against the ex
- Call my HMO to switch groups
- Do online traffic school (got a ticket for using wearing both earbuds on my "hands free" device while driving)
- Open a PO Box (per the judge, I have to give the court an address and don't want the ex to know where I work or live)
I'm sure there's a lot more, but that's all I can think of for now. I think I'm being passive aggressive about some of it.
Thanks for starting this thread. It will be nice to get a handle on these pesky life details.

I recommend arranging a clothing swap with friends for the clean out closets task...there are two giant bags of stuff I'm having my friends dig through this weekend!

I walked for 3 days in a row!
Not a long time but it is a start.
Now the budget!

nora - A clothing swap is a great idea.
It doesn't work for me and my friends (we're all so differently built) but it does work for our kids' clothes, sports equipment, etc.
WTG fireproof!

Thank you again for the inspiration and this thread!
I knocked out most of my list after I typed it (except for going through those boxes in the closet, which may never happen).
I had no idea how much that stuff was weighing me down. Thanks!

Yeah, NIK, I've started walking, but can't do anything to be productive from here. I started a bit before leaving; enough to feel good about having done it and also enough to make me ask myself why it took so long and so much effort to get it going.
Thanks for the nudge. I need to stay motivated until June, though. I could use a reminder then.
p.s. I've lost 7 or 8 lbs since walking and eating better.

Thanks, NIK!
I was surprised when I came back here and looked at my list. As I finished one thing, I told myself to do just one more thing. It kind of developed it's own momentum.
How is your list coming along?

I spent an hour cleaning out my primary e-mail box yesterday. I put things in properly titled folders and deleted tons of useless e-mails. I'm about 2/3 of the way done with that one.
Yoga yesterday. Swimming this morning. Tea instead of soda. I love this thread!

I'm knocking a couple of things off of it each day. And adding to it, too.
So far today I've killed a couple of work-related items. Yay!

I'm in:
--Less sugar intake: I've been at it for two days and already feel better!
--Back into yoga/relaxation and strengthening exercises: I have the DVD and minor workout equipment needed, and now I just need to get to it!
--Finish a project: The easiest one I have is an unfinished scarf, so I want to start there.

I have quite a bit better walking conditions than you have at the moment!
(Also working on my tan.)
You may need to wait a while for better - and safer - walking conditions there!

Ok, fellow cleaners - the weekend is upon us. What's on your list for the next couple of days?
Here's mine -
1. Deal with the recycling.
2. Bag up clothing for consignment shop and Goodwill.
3. Clear out sewing closet and donate what I don't use.
