I had a couple winners in my try at OLD after my divorce but before I met SO.
One guy was really nice, polite, no red flags so after a couple conversations he asks if I would like to meet for a drink. Like I said no red flags, so far, I agree. Then it continues..
Him: Oh can you pick me up?
Me: (kinda wierd) Oh car trouble?
Him: no, I don't drive
Me: Never met anyone who didn't drive at our age. Can I ask why?
Him: Well I lost my license to a DUI.
Me: I'm sorry your license is suspended?
Him: No permanently revoked.
(I know it has to be big if permanent)
Me: Again can I ask why?
Him: Well. I was driving & hit another car & killed 2 people
Me: Umm - You do know I work in Law Enforcement. Don't think we are compatible 
The other was a guy I went on 2 small dates with. Nice guy, he was a Postal Inspector with custody of his DS - so sane, secure - right?
I worked midshift for years, I get a call saying:
Him: Hey I'm Here!
Me: Where?
Him: Outside, look out the window
There he is standing behind a cruiser just relaxing!!! 
I grabbed two guys I was working with both about 6'3" & 240,one was a K-9 guy They politely asked him to leave 
Never saw a guy run that fast
