There is also the equally valid opinion that these type of seminars, etc. are just part of the Reconciliation Industrial Complex staged to fleece $$$ from the desperate by selling false hope.

Hello. For what it's worth, my WW and I attended Retrouvaille. Now keep in mind, this was after my WW had failed her polygraph and I had a (false, thankfully) heart attack scare from the stress.

So I was pretty checked out, pretty skeptical, pretty much done.

However, I have to say the authenticity and power of Retrouvaille is not to be dismissed. It can be approached from a purely secular standpoint, even though it has roots in Catholicism. It is not focused on faith at all, unless you attend a weekend where that is the theme, as we did.

Anyway, I found it very helpful for simply learning how to communicate with other people and hear about their feelings, regardless of what happens with my WW and I.

"True character is revealed in the choices a human being makes under pressure. The greater the pressure, the deeper the revelation, the truer the choice to the character's essential nature."
