Couldn't you tell by the stupid smirk on her face that the jurors weren't even looking at her or JA???

Wow, I am so relieved. I started crying even before they read the verdict and then the tears just started to stream down my cheeks. Didn't realize I was that invested.

Not over yet though. They start again tomorrow.

eta: I don't think that is stupid, lynn, I feel the same way.

Now phase two.

Was it a CRUEL murder....Yup, think so!

She will be meeting her maker...maybe it'll take years, but "mark my words", it'll happen.

But even if not, she will NOT walk in the light of day again (except for the exercise area).

As it should be!

JA is gonna fry.

I'm really disgusted with Wilma and her stupid smirks. They should throw that bitch on JA's lap when they flip the switch.

And bless the Alexanders.

I'm happy for Travis' family that there will be justice for his murderer.

I'm emotional too. This man was not perfect. But, he had a rough start in life, and he surpassed his beginnings. And I believe JA brought out a part of him that may have never ever come out had it not been for her intervention into his life.

Although the wait was difficult I'm glad they took their time.

Tomorrow they mitigate. Now, the jury are all pre-cleared for death penalty...in other words they have stated they were willing to go that route IF the case warranted it.

Personally I do not see too many factors that can be "mitigated down". They are using the information from the trial. The trial showed that the death was cruel (in a HUGE way). There is a reasonable chance to believe that she will get the death penalty.

They are just announcing that the siblings are now suing JS in a civil court for Wrongful Death. It's not for $, Miss Jodi is broke. I'm sure it's just they want to get her every which way they can. And if Jodi sells anymore artwork (she's actually quite good) then they could probably attach to that.

Maybe she won't have any $ for candy from the tuck shop.

And, if she had any plans to sell her signed "manifesto" she can forget that.

The family WILL win in civil court, as the burden of proof is LESS in civil court. They can attach to anything she tries to earn from behind bars.

Sucks to be Jodi today I guess.

I have to wonder what Alyce LaViolette and the other "expert " are thinking right now and will they be asked back for the death penalty part?

Oh and Jodi's art work is just as fake as she is.

They were tracings of other people's effort and hard work that she stole.

Actually, it's a law in most states that a convicted felon, especially a "sensational" one such this, can NOT profit from their notoriety. If Jodie sells ANYthing, be it paintings, her book, or her story, the victim's family gets all proceeds if they win in civil court. The only money she'll get is what she earns through the prison system or what friends/family give her.

I imagine Alyce and many of the other defence "expert witnesses" will not be on the hot list for such jobs in the future.

EWWWWWW

Apparently she sold her underwear on ebay...and somebody bought them!!

It is confirmed now that the reason that the siblings of Travis are filing the wrongful death suit is so that she cannot profit for what she has done. no ebay undies, no copied artwork, no manifesto. Yeah.

So, hopefully, one year from now we can say Jodi Who? Foggetaboutter.

So now Jodi is claiming that she wants the death penalty because having to live the rest of her life in prison is worse, well considering she wanted to plead to 2nd degree with life in prison which is it Jodi? She still lies and doesn't take ownership of her actions.
