To those who posted insightful, thought-provoking, and supportive comments, thank you for your input. Everyone’s situation is different and I appreciate you sharing your experiences to help me get through mine.

To those who have decided to tell me exactly what to think, what to feel, what I SHOULD be doing, why I NEED to file for divorce, your input was neither requested or wanted. For a "support group," the majority of you are all so quick to criticize someone for the way they dress, the way they feel, the way they do anything. You are so quick to jump to conclusions and assume you have the right to say whatever you want about someone and totally disregard the humanity of respecting each other. You are the first to be upset when someone does this to your children, yet you act in this way as adults and wonder where the next generation learns it. The reason I have not spoken to any of my friends or family about what is going on was to avoid these sorts of damaging comments and judgments. I came to this website for support and I am now feeling completely attacked, judged for my decisions, and worse than when I first made an account. Thanks for battering a battered woman.

I didn't tell you to file for separation, and child support, to upset you.

It's a fact that whoever files for CS first, will get the most money. As his wife,I believe you should get more than a devious OW.

While, yes, they will base CS off of his income potential, the truth is,ALL of his money should belong to the core family (you, your children, and your husband),but he will be portioning some of that out to OW(if she is pregnant with his child). I feel you should get the bigger portion. That was my only intent when making that suggestion.

Filing for CS first, will ensure that you do. It doesn't mean you have to physically separate, or get a divorce.

HellFire

Hopeful1881 does not have children of her own.

Survived two affairs and brink of Divorce. Happily reconciled. 12 years out from Dday. Reconciliation takes two committed people to be successful.

I have a question, This May not be the right place. I apologize for that. First we all feel for You this woman and what she faces.

It’s always said on this board. First thing is a no contact letter should be sent, change jobs, never see AP again.
in this case do you have no contact. The AP is going to be in there life’s forever. That the BS in time will somewhat forget what happened. They will hopefully not think about every day. In this case it can not happen every pay check there will be hundred of $ out of it for CS. Every holiday every time she brings him yo court for something.
