What would December be without my annual thread on the reality that later sunsets in the afternoon are here!

OK, maybe just a few mere seconds each day, but at least where I live, two days ago, we reached the earliest the sun will set and will now keep adding a few seconds each day (although, the later sunrise each morning means we won't see more total daylight until Dec. 22nd).

Two days ago, the sun set at 240° Southwest, and now we're at 239° Southwest!! I think it's worth celebrating!

And with the busyness of the holiday season among us, our days seem to pass more quickly, so before you know it, on New Year's Eve, our sun will set ten minutes later than it is tonight.
