How is Pride Prejudice and Zombies so far? I almost picked that book up not too long ago, and grabbed Wicked instead.

I'm in the middle of

"Too Good to Leave / Too Bad to Stay" by Mira Kirshenbaum. So far it has cleared up some things for me.

Now I'm on to:

'Knitting Under the Influence' by Claire Lazebnik for my fiction pleasure

"The Secret between Us" by Barbara Delinsky for my listening pleasure (iPod in the car)

"Son of Hamas" by Moseb Hasan Yousef for the non-fiction. It's the story of an-ex Hamas member; the son of a Hamas leader. Fascinating stuff as this guy has an understanding of the Middle East conflict beyond anyone else I have read. He's now a Christian, but he is very fair to all sides and so far not afraid to tell it like it is.

Oh and I have continued to enjoy Jennifer Weiner's work these days, especially the two related novels "Good in Bed" and "Certain Girls".

I'm excited to see Jodi Picoult has come out with a new novel. Now if Harlen Coben would get going on a new one!!

Glad you started this thread Cant.

I'm not sure I'm as appreciative, Cant. I'm sitting here with my Sony E-reader store site and this thread open. As I read a post and the book sounds interesting, I order it. So far I've spent far too much.

I'm thinking of sending Cant the bill!!

Started reading Kage Baker's Company series, and it's pretty f*cking brilliant so far, I have to say.

It nagged him, in particular, that none of the girls he’d known so far had given him a sense of unalloyed triumph.

I just finished Under the Dome by Stephen King. Side benefit was the weight lifting that came with it -- it's over 1000 pages.

I love Jennifer Weiner -- laugh out loud funny -- just gave them to my sister.

The Stieg Larson trilogy has been great -- I've already preordered the third and last book in the series.

Earlier this year I read When the Game was Ours about Larry Bird and Magic Johnson -- if you were a hoops fan in the 80s, that will take you back, good read.

The Help was a wonderful, wonderful book. The characters were so real -- can't remember the author's name but it was terrific.

Other favorites: Harlan Coben and Pat Conroy.

I also recently reread To Kill a Mockingbird, and then immediately watched the movie, both were really good.

I love getting book ideas, I liked seeing this thread.

I just finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson. Excellent! Very fun and twisty!

The night I finished it, I started his 2nd one which is The Girl Who Played With Fire and he has a third one which isn't out yet.

...still has much to learn :-(
