Addison, TX, a suburb of Dallas.
Is someone local going to coordinate this year? It got handed off twice. STG, then Ds, then Moo.
I'm posting now because Southwest had a special deal on tickets - book now for Fall travel, and it worked for me.

If you want to coordinate a hotel, chime in. The one from last year was great, and within walking distance, but there might be other options, like say, suites for late-night talking. We might not get such an agreeable desk clerk this year who will let us stay up all night in the lounge.

woot! I've been looking forward to this, ever since I couldn't go to last years.
I'll be driving up so if schedules work out, maybe I can do an airport pick up if any of the people flying in want to coordinate arrival times.

I'm going to check out that airfare deal, TH. I remember from researching hotels for last year that there were 2 of those all-suite hotels close by. One was very reasonable with the Oktoberfest rate that was published on the internet.
Last I heard, DS was going to host this year.
I can't wait!

I'm totally in! This time I may even go to Oktoberfest with you guys (yes, I've lived here 20 years and have never been - lol!).

I would love to go to the actual fest this year and spend the night--like Miss Holly, I've lived here, but never had the Oktoberfest experience. I think it's time.
So, I am definitely going to be there.

Put me on the list! I had a ball last year. I drive down and the hotel was good for me, but if we can find something comparable for a good price, that's cool.

Mr. T has stolen my chicken hat. He wears it to meetings. I need to buy a new one.
I'd love to be able to get Mr. T to come along but that may be a hard sell because it would involve FIL watching the kids for a couple of nights. If he won't come, I'm up for rooming with someone. I roomed with HappilyUnMarried last year and she survived, so I'm pretty sure I'm not an axe murderer.
